Managing Your Account: Profile, Organisation, and Team

This guide covers managing your personal account, setting up your organisation, and working with team members in PlaceChangers.


Account Profile

Accessing Your Profile

Navigate to AccountProfileGeneral to manage your personal account settings.


Profile Information

Your profile includes:


  • Name: Your display name
  • Email: Your account email address
  • Photo: Profile picture (optional)
  • Notifications: Email notification preferences
  • Actions: View your account activity and actions

Updating Your Profile

  1. Go to AccountProfileGeneral
  2. Update any fields as needed
  3. Click Save to apply changes

Changing Your Email

  1. Navigate to AccountProfileEmail
  2. Enter your new email address
  3. Confirm the change (you may need to verify the new email)

Notification Settings

Manage your email notifications:


  1. Go to AccountProfileNotifications
  2. Toggle notification preferences for:
    • Consultation updates
    • Team invitations
    • Response notifications
    • System announcements

Organisation Management

What is an Organisation?

An organisation represents your company, agency, or institution. It allows you to:


  • Group team members together
  • Share sites and consultations
  • Manage organisation-level branding
  • Control access and permissions

Creating an Organisation

  1. Navigate to AccountProfileOrganisation
  2. If you don't have an organisation, you'll see options to create one
  3. Enter organisation details:
    • Name: Your organisation's name
    • Website: Organisation website (optional)
    • Logo: Upload organisation logo (optional)
  4. Click Save

Organisation Branding

Set organisation-level branding that can be used across sites:


  1. Go to AccountProfileOrganisation
  2. Configure:
    • Primary Logo: Upload your organisation logo
    • Primary Colour: Set the primary brand colour
    • Accent Colour: Set the accent brand colour
    • Header Font Family: Choose typography (if available)
  3. These settings can be inherited by sites and consultations

Organisation Members

Viewing Members

  1. Navigate to AccountProfileOrganisation
  2. Scroll to the Members section
  3. View all organisation members and their roles

Adding Members

As an organisation admin:


  1. Go to AccountProfileOrganisation
  2. In the Candidates section, you can:
    • Invite new members by email
    • Approve pending member requests
  3. In the Members section, you can:
    • View all current members
    • Manage member roles
    • Remove members if needed

Member Roles

Organisation members can have different roles:


  • Admin: Full access to organisation settings and all sites/consultations
  • Member: Standard access to assigned sites and consultations
  • Viewer: Read-only access (if available)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

If enabled for your organisation:


  1. Go to AccountProfileOrganisation
  2. Find the MFA section
  3. Configure MFA settings as required by your organisation policy

Site Team Management

Adding Team Members to Sites

  1. Navigate to the site you want to manage
  2. Go to the site's team or members section
  3. Add team members by:
    • Inviting by email
    • Adding existing organisation members
  4. Assign appropriate roles

Site Team Roles

  • Admin: Full control over the site and all consultations
  • Editor: Can create and edit consultations
  • Viewer: Read-only access

Account Actions

Viewing Your Activity

  1. Go to AccountProfileActions
  2. View a log of your account activity
  3. See recent actions, consultations created, and changes made

Billing (If Applicable)

Accessing Billing

  1. Navigate to AccountProfileBilling
  2. View subscription details, invoices, and payment methods
  3. Update payment information if needed

Common Questions

Can I belong to multiple organisations?

Typically, you can only belong to one organisation at a time. Contact support if you need access to multiple organisations.


How do I transfer ownership of an organisation?

Organisation admins can transfer ownership through the organisation settings. Contact support if you need assistance.


What happens if I leave an organisation?

If you leave an organisation, you'll lose access to organisation-level resources. Your personal consultations and sites may be affected depending on ownership settings.


Can I change my organisation after creating consultations?

Changing organisations may affect access to existing consultations. Contact support before making this change.
